Services for Boatyards

A refit, maintenance or storage yard handles dozens of customers' boats every year, and with them a mass of documents, deadlines and paperwork. Agenzia Magnum offers boatyards ongoing administrative support, so yard staff can concentrate on the technical work.

Temporary navigation authorisation

The Italian Pleasure Boating Code (Codice della nautica da diporto) allows yards to obtain from STED (Sportello telematico del diportista, the boat registration desk) a temporary navigation authorisation, which can also be used for vessels entrusted to them for repairs and servicing: it covers sea trials of hulls and engines and transfers. The authorisation serves as a ship's document, requires third-party liability insurance and registration with the Chamber of Commerce for the relevant activity, and is renewed every two years. We take care of the application and renewals.

Paperwork for customers' vessels

• renewal of the safety certificate, including arranging the inspection by the technical body;
• updating the navigation licence after an engine replacement or other modifications;
• duplicates of lost or damaged documents, changes of use, registrations and deregistrations;
• preliminary checks, with a notified body, of major modifications that may require a new CE conformity assessment.

Foreign vessels and customs procedures

For foreign-flagged yachts or yachts owned by non-residents, we check the vessel's documentary and customs status and, with licensed customs brokers, coordinate the formalities with the Italian Customs Agency (Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli) when the vessel enters or stays in the yard.
