Services for Boatbuilders

From design to delivery, every new vessel comes with a file of technical and administrative documents. Agenzia Magnum supports boatbuilders with the documentation, so their vessels can be placed on the market, tested, exhibited and delivered in Italy and abroad without delays.

CE marking and conformity

Pleasure craft from 2.5 to 24 metres placed on the European market must comply with Directive 2013/53/EU, implemented in Italy by Legislative Decree (D.Lgs.) 5/2016. Depending on the design category and length, the conformity assessment may require a notified body, which you can look up in the European NANDO database. We help you organise the technical file, deal with the notified body, prepare the EU declaration of conformity and the documentation for the installed engines.

First registration and temporary navigation

• registration of vessels built by the yard, which can submit a self-declaration of ownership (dichiarazione sostitutiva) instead of a purchase deed;
• provisional registration, allowing a provisional licence to be issued to the customer immediately;
• tonnage certificate for pleasure ships over 24 metres;
• temporary navigation authorisation for trials, demonstrations and transfers to boat shows, including in foreign waters.

Vessels bound for abroad

For vessels sold to foreign customers or destined for foreign registers, we prepare the documents required by the destination flag, such as the Builder's Certificate and bill of sale, with translations and legalisation, and coordinate export customs procedures with licensed brokers. For larger vessels, dealings with classification societies remain the yard's responsibility: we handle the documentation.
