Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, a Caribbean island state, runs an international ship register that is also open to yachts. We help you assess the requirements and handle the registration for you.
The port of registry for all vessels is Kingstown. Registration is administered by the Commissioner for Maritime Affairs, appointed by the Government, who operates through offices in Geneva and Monaco: a convenient point of contact for those sailing in the Mediterranean. The country has been a member of the IMO since 1980.
The ownership requirements, and whether a company must be set up or a representative appointed, depend on the specific case: we check them with the Maritime Administration before starting the application, so that the vessel is registered in the right name from the outset.
The Administration has separate procedures for:
Bareboat charter registration and the registration of mortgages are also provided for.
Contact us using the form at the bottom of the page, telling us the vessel's size and use: we will explain how to proceed.
