The register of the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) is one of the largest international registers and is widely used for yachts too. We help you set up the ownership structure correctly and handle the registration for you.
The register comes under the Maritime Administrator of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, which is supported administratively and technically by International Registries, Inc. (IRI), based in the United States with a network of offices in the world's main maritime and financial centres.
A yacht registered in the Marshall Islands must be owned through a Marshall Islands entity (corporation, partnership or LLC) or through a foreign company qualified as a Foreign Maritime Entity. For an Italian or European owner this usually means setting up a company in the Marshall Islands or qualifying their foreign company with the register.
Private yachts can also apply for a temporary certificate to charter in French and Monegasque waters without switching to commercial registration.
Contact us using the form at the bottom of the page, telling us about the vessel and its use: we will explain how to proceed.
