Crew Management for Maltese Yachts

Beyond the flag state rules, the crew of a Maltese yacht needs managing every day: joining and leaving, replacements, expiry dates, payroll. Recruitment and joining

• help defining the positions required by the yacht's Minimum Safe Manning Certificate;
• coordination with qualified recruitment agencies, which MLC 2006 requires to meet its standards;
• advance checks of candidates' certificates, Maltese endorsements and medical fitness;
• preparing joining documents and the contract before departure.

Rotations and expiry dates

We keep the crew rotation and leave schedule for you, along with a register of each seafarer's certificate expiry dates (certificates of competency, endorsements, STCW courses, medical certificates), alerting you to renewals in good time. Transport Malta requires original certificates and endorsements to be kept on board and available for inspection: we help you keep the crew file up to date.

Payroll and administration

Working with qualified consultants and professionals, we handle salary calculations under the contracts in place, payslips, travel costs for joining and repatriation, and end-of-contract paperwork.
