Changes to the Hauliers' Register

Since 04/12/2011 the European rules implementing Regulation (EU) 1071/2009 on access to the occupation of road transport operator have been in force. Further changes dated 07/04/2012 once again adjusted the requirements for certain categories, the transport manager and more. Click here to download the circular.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO DO THIS DEMANDING JOB FULLY WITHIN THE LAW:

Goods transport falls into two main sectors:

• transport for hire and reward (conto terzi) (a transport service provided for payment)
• transport on own account (conto proprio) (transport of your own goods).

Waste transport

Anyone who intends to TRANSPORT WASTE has a further hurdle to clear. Waste hauliers are registered with the National Register of Environmental Operators (Albo Gestori Ambientali), through its regional section.

Each haulier is registered in a category, with specific requirements, according to what it intends to transport. Every case is different, so each one must be assessed individually.
