Hauliers' Register Annual Fee

Every year, by 31 December, every company on the Hauliers' Register (Albo degli Autotrasportatori) must pay an annual fee based on the number of vehicles it operates. This payment can no longer be made by postal current account slip; it must be made online, which we can do for you. Just give us your register number: we will check the vehicles actually registered to the company and then make the payment online.

Although this fee is often underestimated, failing to pay it automatically suspends the company's position on the national register, which then blocks any change to that position.

What you need for the payment

• Copies of the registration documents for all the vehicles operated.
• Company code (codice meccanografico).
• Hauliers' Register number.

For the year 2011 only

Companies on the register as of 31 December may also pay the balance of the fee into current account no. 34171009, held by the Central Committee for the National Register of individuals and companies carrying goods by road for hire and reward (Comitato centrale per l'Albo nazionale).

The fee is set as follows:

• fixed registration fee payable by all companies on the register, €20.66;
• additional fee (on top of point 1) payable by every company according to the size of its fleet, whatever the weight of the vehicles it operates:
  • companies operating 2 to 5 vehicles, €5.16;
  • companies operating 6 to 10 vehicles, €10.33;
  • companies operating 11 to 50 vehicles, €25.82;
  • companies operating 51 to 100 vehicles, €103.29;
  • companies operating 101 to 200 vehicles, €258.23;
  • companies operating more than 200 vehicles, €516.46;
• additional fee (on top of points 1 and 2) payable for each vehicle over 6,000 kg gross weight owned by the company:
  • for each load-carrying vehicle with a gross weight of 6,001 to 11,500 kg, and for each tractor unit with a towable weight of 6,001 to 11,500 kg, €5.16;
  • for each load-carrying vehicle with a gross weight of 11,501 to 26,000 kg, and for each tractor unit with a towable weight of 11,501 to 26,000 kg, €7.75;
  • for each load-carrying vehicle with a gross weight over 26,000 kg, and for each tractor unit with a towable weight over 26,000 kg, €10.33.

Once paid, however, the postal payment receipt must be sent to the relevant Province, which then records it in the register's systems.
