Duplicate Driving Licence

Our agency handles applications for duplicate driving licences in the event of loss or damage, taking care of every step at the Motor Vehicle Office (Motorizzazione Civile, now the Dipartimento Trasporti Terrestri).

Duplicates we can apply for on your behalf:

• Duplicate driving licence for loss or damage
• Duplicate C.A.P. (professional driver's certificate)
• Duplicate A.D.R. (dangerous goods driver's certificate)

The most common cases:

• Lost your driving licence? Go to any police station and report the loss. You will be given a copy of the report and a temporary driving permit valid for 90 days, which states whether the licence is "DUPLICABILE" (can be reissued automatically) or "NON DUPLICABILE" (cannot). If it can be reissued, the new licence will be sent to your home free of charge. If not, simply bring us 2 passport-size photos plus one more authenticated by your town hall (Comune) on an identity certificate (Attestazione d'Identità), together with a valid identity document, the police report and the temporary permit, and we will obtain the duplicate from the Motor Vehicle Office (Motorizzazione Civile).
• Is your driving licence damaged? Bring us a photo authenticated by your town hall (Comune), your licence, another valid identity document and 2 further passport-size photos, and we will have a new one printed by the Motor Vehicle Office.
